Take on the challenge of the Chirk Triathlon this spring on 12 April 2026. A thrilling sprint event through the Ceiriog Valley, it’s perfect for athletes and first-timers alike.

The RunThrough UK Chirk Triathlon returns in April 2026, offering athletes a well-organised and scenic race set against the beautiful countryside of the Ceiriog Valley. Designed to be welcoming yet challenging, the event attracts both experienced competitors and first-time triathletes.

Race Overview
The event starts and finishes at Chirk Leisure Centre and features a classic sprint-distance format:
- Swim: 400 metres in the leisure centre’s indoor pool
- Bike: 23km out-and-back route through rural countryside, passing Pontfadog and Glyn Ceiriog
- Run: 5km out-and-back route on closed country roads

An alternative Sprint Aquathlon option is also available, combining the swim and run disciplines.
